The University of Wyoming will host the third annual “ReVisioning the (W)hole” conference from Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
The conference will include presentations, workshops, performances and panel discussions led by students, faculty and staff. The conference is free and open to the public.
“This conference has two primary objectives,” says organizer Meg VB-Wood, UW Department of English faculty member. “To recognize and celebrate the on-going interdisciplinary/integrated projects on campus and beyond, and stimulate future work that looks at blurring, enlarging and/or redefining disciplinary boundaries.”
The conference’s keynote speakers are David Carson, UW eminent artist-in-residence and graphic designer, and Larry Livingston of the University of Southern California School of Music.
“We’re excited about the conference’s trajectory from simply recognizing interdisciplinary collaboration in the first year to actually embodying it,” says organizer Margaret Wilson, associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance. “This year, we are grouping presenters together and asking them to develop their presentations collaboratively.”
“ReVisioning the (W)hole III” is supported by the UW Foundation; the College of Arts and Sciences; the Outreach School; the Learning Resource Network; the Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning; ASUW Student Activities Council; the American Studies Program; the departments of Art, English, Geology and Geophysics, Music, and Physics and Astronomy; and the Laura Jane Musser Fund.

The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
