Meg Thompson, born and raised in Wyoming, is a professional artist and artisan who studied and worked in Montana, Oregon and New York City for 15 years before moving back to her home town of Laramie. She works in a variety of mediums including ink, watercolor, outdoor installations, and public art. She also works as a craftswoman making custom furniture and won an Exhibitor’s Choice Award at the 2012 Western Design Conference. Having worked on several community-wide art projects including designing bike racks for downtown Laramie, the Laramie Artists Project/Touchstone show, the Wyoming Art Party, and several pop-up shows, as well as coaching basketball as the high school, and junior high, Meg is well established in the community and relates well to a variety of people.
