The Wyoming Arts Council will announce the recipients of the 2015 Visual Arts Fellowships on Saturday, April 5, 6:30-8 p.m., during a public reception in the Peck Gallery at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. The reception will be the closing event for the CLICK! symposium for visual artists, and the public is invited to attend at no charge.
Visual Arts Fellowships are awards of merit, based on each artist’s portfolio, honoring Wyoming visual artists whose work reflects serious and exceptional investigation. Artists working in any media, including film and video, may apply. Applications are juried by noted artists from outside the state. Up to three fellowships of $3,000 each may be given each year, and jurors may also select honorable mentions.
Jurors for this year’s competition are Sean Miller, Gainesville, Fla.; Marjorie Vecchio, Reno Nev; and Julie Muniz, Walnut Creek, Calif.

The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
