Wyoming Arts Council Board to meet at Camp Douglas


The Wyoming Arts Council board will hold its next quarterly meeting Thursday, August 18 at Camp Douglas Officers’ Club a World War II era State Historic Site.

Beginning at 9 a.m. the board will convene to hear reports, plan for upcoming events, get updates on current arts council initiatives, and conduct business. An executive session may be called if necessary.

The board invites individuals and organizational representatives to attend any part of the meeting to observe the board process, and to address the board during public comment which will be taken between 9-11:45 a.m.

The mission of the Wyoming Arts Council is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Wyoming by providing resources to sustain, promote and cultivate the arts.

Camp Douglas, located at 115 S. Riverbend Dr. in Douglas, includes several Wyoming inspired murals painted by Italian prisoners-of-war detained at the facility.
