Members of the Wyoming Arts Council (WAC) board will meet Feb. 27-28, at Little America in Cheyenne. The public is invited to attend.
At the meeting, WAC board members will approve the slate of 2014-2015 roster artists, review a Partnership application, evaluate progress on the agency’s long-range plan, and discuss the latest statistics for the Wyoming Creative Vitality Index (CVI).
A public comment session will be available at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 28.
Presentations to the Board will include previews of upcoming events, such as the State Poetry Out Loud finals in Cheyenne and the CLICK! conference for visual artists in Fort Washakie. The Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) regional arts organization will update the board on its current programs.
An executive session will be held on Friday at 3:30 p.m., if needed.
On Friday at noon, WAC Board members will attend the Wyoming Arts Alliance’s Arts Advocacy Day with Legislators at the Herschler Building Tunnel and West Atrium. They also will attend the 32nd annual Governor’s Arts Awards event, which will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at Little America.
