Wyoming Arts Council Call for Musicians and Visual Artists – November Artwalk in Cheyenne

The Wyoming Arts Council is partnering with Arts Cheyenne for an expanded November Artwalk in downtown Cheyenne, Thurs., Nov. 7, 5-8 p.m.

The Arts Council is accepting applications from Wyoming-based independent musicians to perform and from Wyoming visual artists to exhibit their work.

The Artwalk combines Arts Cheyenne’s monthly Artwalk and is part of the Arts Council’s biennial Wyoming Arts Summit, aiming to draw a broad audience of community members and summit attendees. The event will include live music, exhibitions, spoken word, and more, featuring talent from across the state.

Independent music performances will be 45-minute sets and will be held at a variety of venues including WYO Music, The Wigwam Lounge at the Historic Plains Hotel and The Array School. All musicians will receive a stipend and negotiated travel expenses.

Several downtown businesses and property owners are donating space for pop-up galleries. Visual artists selected will be partnered with one of these spaces. No commission will be taken on the sale of artwork.

Selected musicians and visual artists will receive free entry to the Wyoming Arts Summit. There are several professional development sessions at the summit that are of particular interest for independent musicians and individual artists.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. MST Friday, September 6, 2019. Selected applicants will be notified by the end of September in order to plan travel accordingly.
