From a Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources press release:

This year, after fighting the holiday shopping crowds this Black Friday, or to avoid them altogether, the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails invite you to spend some time outdoors.

Wyoming’s State Parks and Historic Sites host a variety of trails that provide a great opportunity to unwind with family, get outside and explore history.

Families are encouraged to visit a state park, hike a trail, ride a snowmobile, enjoy a picnic or cast a line. Who knows? You might just start a new Black Friday family tradition.

Also, make plans now to take in one of the State Park and Historic Site’s First Day hikes on New Year’s Day. More information about the First Day hikes will be made available in coming weeks.
