Wyoming Independent Music Initiative Showcase in Laramie

Join us for a night to celebrate and showcase Laramie and Wyoming’s independent musicians. Nine Laramie bands are scheduled to perform Saturday, June 25 at the Gryphon Theater, Laramie, Wyoming. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. show starts at 6:30 p.m. and the event is free and open to the public. Featuring Wynona, Libby Creek Original, Whiskey Slaps, Dauphin, Red Bush, Bondurant, J Shogren Shanghai’d, Elk Tongue, and Harpoon the Whale.

The Wyoming Independent Music Initiative (WIMI) is a pilot program launched earlier this spring to strengthen the independent music scene in Wyoming. Ten Laramie bands have participated in professional development activities, business counseling with the Wyoming Technology Business Center, panels relevant to artists, and showcases with national industry leaders in music.

The event is co-sponsored by the Wyoming Technology Business Center, The Gryphon, BHP Imaging, Square State Media, and Wyoming Public Media.
