Since 2003, Matt has offered creative writing workshops to people of all ages and ability levels. His workshops help participants reflect on their personal commitment to their subject matter, clarifying what they have to say and how to say it artfully. In school settings, Matt has designed workshops and residencies to meet curricular requirements in the natural sciences, social studies, language arts and visual arts. Matt’s workshops include public presentation as an integral part of the writing process. Matt received the Neltje Blanchan Award in 2015 and a Wyoming Arts Council creative writing fellowship in poetry in 2013.
