Description:

I have been a practicing potter for over 17 years. I make work with stonware clay fired to cone 10 in gas or wood-fired kilns. My work has complex surfaces with multiple slip and glaze layers. I throw on the wheel and hand-build and alter most of my pots so they are physically asymmetrical but visually balanced. Movement in the form, contrast on the surface and emotional connection (if animals are featured on the surface) are dominant elements in my pieces.
