Description:

My art crosses the boundaries of photography, fine art, and fiber art. The fiber art I create is a reflection of these forums. Blending fabrics that I have hand dyed, paint poured and original photos printed on fabric into a cohesive final art piece. I use fabric as the medium to explore texture and color, incorporating my love of photography, painting and dyeing.
Nature is used as a focus of my photos which are a central part of each fiber art. The paint pours and dyed fabrics are integrated into the pieces with other fabrics. The use of color in each piece is dictated first by the photo and feeling I want the art to invoke. Texture is added to each piece with thread painting/quilting blending and binding all the mediums and layers together.
