Description:

Lynne Hurd Bryant earned her BFA degree in 1983, then promptly set aside her brushes to marry and have a family. By 2009, her family was grown and it was time to start painting again. She chose watercolor, although she had no training specific to that medium. Her watercolor techniques are self-taught, which perhaps explains their visual similarity to oil paintings with their carefully controlled edges. Her use of color is unique, owing to her having an autism spectrum disorder, which intensifies sensory perception, including the way she sees and interprets color. She is also a published author and illustrator.
