Description:
The mission of the Donkey Creek Festival (DCF) is to provide an opportunity for the families of Gillette and surrounding communities to gather and enjoy the arts in all their forms. The festival was first formed by Gillette College in 2006 and supported by the City of Gillette. Our non-profit was formed in 2010 to take over management of the three day music, arts, and sculpture festival each June. The festival was on pause for 2023, but is back for 2024 at a new venue, Big Lost Meadery, in Historic Downtown Gillette. Our vision is to feature Wyoming musicians and artists and better reflect our own culture.
The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
