Maura is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in art. She has been a studio potter for the past fifteen years, and works exclusively in hand-thrown and hand-glazed stoneware. Her simplified forms and color-washed, outlined images give a delightful and uncomplicated quality to her pieces. Maura is a substitute teacher and instructs private wheel-throwing and hand-building classes for children and adults. She promotes art through demonstrations in her community and in elementary and secondary schools, and is excited to share in the experience of making art with others.
