MAY 2025 UPDATE: We have made the difficult decision to place multiple grants on hiatus for this year. This includes the Performing Arts (theatre & dance and music), Creative Writing (Poetry, Fiction, Creative Nonfiction), and Visual Arts Fellowships. As stewards of public funds, we want to ensure that we are maximizing the reach and impact of the funding we receive. The other Fellowships (Native Arts, Pattie Layser Greater Yellowstone Creative Writing and Journalism Fellowship) and Writing Awards (the Neltje Blanchan and the Frank Nelson Doubleday Memorial Writing Awards) will continue as usual through the generosity of private funds.
Our other grant categories (Arts Access Project Grant, Professional Development/Career Advancement Grant, and the Creative Aging Project Grant) will not open for applications until we know the full extent of available funding.
This grant is available to organizations for arts project funding designed to increase access to the arts for under-served communities (individuals with a disability, older adults, veterans, economically disadvantaged individuals, rural communities, English as a second language speakers, individuals with multifaceted identities & cultural backgrounds, folk and traditional arts and artists) through comprehensive and collaborative community engagement.
This grant is currently on pause.
