I was invited to the last show of the Cheyenne Concert Association season, Opus Two, featuring William Terwilliger on violin and Andrew Cooperstock on piano. They played a varied selection of classic, modern and contemporary music from composers such as Paul Schoenfield, Beethoven, Aaron Copland, Bach, Chopin and Bernstein.

Both Terwilliger and Cooperstock are exceptional technical and talented musicians. They began perfoming as a duo in 1993, after winning the United States Information Agency’s Artistic Ambassador Auditions. They toured to Latin America and Caribbean, and have also performed in Europe and Australia, and across the U.S.

They chose Aaron Copland Waltz and Celebration from “Billy the Kid” (1950) with their western audiences in mind.
