Little America Hotel & Resort Call for 2D Artwork

Little America Hotel & Resort in Cheyenne, Wyoming is currently renovating to create three new suites that will bring premier lodging and hospitality to the region.

Up to 25 pieces of original artwork will be selected for the three suites. Artwork will be installed in common areas of the suites, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Little America is interested in original artwork, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, or mixed media. Prints, including giclees or other reproductions, will also be considered. Series information should be included in the image caption or description. 

Little America Hotel & Resort would like to achieve a local feel with art that matches the history and culture of the city and state. They are interested in artwork that is vibrant and contemporary, while incorporating elements of Western or Wyoming imagery. Emerging and Native artists are encouraged to apply.

Work should be no smaller than 24×24 inches with maximum dimensions of 48×48 inches.

Artwork will be reviewed and selected by a committee of Little America staff, management, and owner representation, as well as the project designer and other community arts partners.

Application Requirements

Submissions are due December 13, 2024 and must be submitted via CaFÉ. Artists are asked to submit the required documents, images, and information to verify that artwork meets the criteria.

Image captions must include: title, date, medium (including any print or series numbers), framed dimensions, and purchase price. Submissions with incomplete information may not be considered. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident and a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Applicant must be a Wyoming resident.
• Applicant must be willing to meet project deadlines.
• Artwork must be framed appropriately with hanging hardware and be ready for installation.
• Purchased artwork becomes the property of Little America Hotel & Resort. While artists retain copyright, Little America Hotel & Resort will receive permission to use images of the artwork for official purposes such as publicity, promotion, or education.
