The Wyoming Arts Council invites you to apply for the 2014 performing arts fellowships in music performance. Application deadline is June 30, 2014.
The WAC annually awards up to two fellowships of $3,000 each to honor the most exciting, creative performances by Wyoming musicians. Instrumentalists and vocalists are invited to apply by submitting samples of their work performed in the last five years.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and full-time residents of Wyoming.
Jurors are Janna Lower, violinist and director of the strings program at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., and Gustav Hoffman, trombonist, composer and co-owner of Cherry Sound Studios in Denver.
Applications will be accepted online through the Western States Arts Federation’s Call for Entry (CaFÉ) online system. It is free for artists to sign up with CaFÉ and there is no application fee to apply for the fellowships. Go to www.callforentry.com and search for this call name: “Wyoming Arts Council Performing Arts Fellowships 2014.” The application criteria are included on that site.
