Former Western Wyoming Community College student and author, William Robinson will speak at WWCC in Rock Springs on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 3:30 p.m. in Room A202. The event is free and open to the public.
Robinson’s book, “The Search for Excalibur” just hit bookstore shelves Jan. 10. The book explores the adventures of Quincy O’Rourke, an adventurer who is hired to validate the legend of Excalibur.
“I went to Western some time ago,” Robinson explained, “and use to attend the Friday Night Live readings with Barb Smith. I loved those events so much and would like to contribute to the college like that again — this time as a published author.”
Robinson will be speaking to the WWCC Epic and Fantasy Heroes Literature class taught by Assistant Professor of English Chris Propst.
“It’s great to get a published writer like William Robinson to come in and share his thoughts about his own writing, heroes, and mythology,” Propst said. “He should have a good working knowledge of the mythological subjects of Excalibur and the Arthurian legend.”
