The Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association has selected Mark Spragg’s new novel, “Bone Fire,” as its “Reading the West” fiction selection for March 2010.
The nonfiction selection was Laura Bell’s new book “Claiming Ground.”
Laura and Mark, both from Cody, will be touring their books together throughout the Rocky Mountain, Pacific Northwest and West Coast regions. They both are past winners of creative writing fellowships from the Wyoming Arts Council.
MPIBA includes over 200 independently owned bookstores in 14 states.

The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
