Call for Entries – High Plains Register, LCCC’s literary and art magazine


High Plains Register is an annual, student-produced publication of Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It features writers and artists from the college and the community and is published on the LCCC campus. The latest issue was published in April 2009.
Poetry? Fiction? Drama? Nonfiction or art? High Plains Register wants to see your work!

Submission criteria:
Deadline: October 30, 2009

Submissions are open to LCCC students and the greater LCCC community. Published writers and artists will receive one copy of HPR and will be eligible to participate in a public reading.
HPR accepts previously unpublished poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama and artwork.

Submission guidelines:
Writing: mail typed hard copy or e-mail attached Word document. Double space prose only, please.
Artwork: mail or e-mail slides, photocopies or photographs. Digital photographs encouraged; no original artwork, please.
All submissions must include a brief cover letter with submitter’s contact information. For help creating a cover letter, check out a publication like the Writer’s Market or visit a site like
Wordsmitten.

All LCCC student submissions will be eligible for the High Plains Register Award for Best Poem, Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Drama or Artwork. Community submissions are also encouraged.
