From a Casper College press release:

The Casper College Music Department will inaugurate both its new concert hall and art gallery with a new event, the RedStone Recital and Gallery Series, on Friday evening, Oct. 11, 2013.

According to Eric Unruh, dean of the Casper College School of Fine Arts and Humanities, the first event in the series titled, ‘The Art of Teaching,’ will feature “an exhibition and reception at 6:30 in the Mildred Zahradnicek Gallery, honoring Governor’s Arts Award winner Lynn Munns, and his collection of fine art by Casper College faculty. At 7:30 the music faculty will present a recital in the new Richard E. and Linda S. Wheeler Concert Hall.”

Faculty performing in recital include David Alcorn, Nathan Baker, Douglas Bull, Jennifer Cowell-DePaolo, Gary DePaolo, Christine Dunbar, Jerome Fleg, Jane Hamman, Kristen Lenth, Andrew Stonerock, Delores Thornton, Richard Turner, Kathryn Williams, and Zachary Vreeman, with Paula Flynn and Unruh providing piano accompaniment.

“This is a great opportunity to see the gorgeous new gallery and concert hall, and to hear a variety of instruments in a flexible and sensitive acoustical space. Natrona County audiences have never experienced the vibrancy of a specially designed acoustical space like this. It promises to be the first of many remarkable and inspirational experiences,” said Unruh.

General admission tickets for the RedStone Recital Series can be purchased online at caspercollege.edu/events/redstone or in person in Room 137 of the Music Building between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Unruh noted that future RedStone events will include exhibitions by Justin Hayward, Casper College painting instructor and Ricki Klages, University of Wyoming painting instructor, and recitals by Grammy-nominee Karen Clift, soprano, and the University of Wyoming Verismo Trio.
