Governor Matt Mead has announced plans to mark the 125th anniversary of Wyoming statehood on Friday, July 10. The celebration begins at 3:00 p.m. with the early release of state employees and then the Governor speaks from the steps of the Capitol. Those who attend will enjoy games, music and other activities on the grounds around the Capitol Building and State Museum.
“This is a significant milestone and great day for Wyoming,” Mead said. “I want to thank the many people organizing the activities and working hard to make this day a memorable one. I encourage everyone to come enjoy the family fun.”
The State Museum and the Historic Governor’s Mansion will both be open late on July 10. Streets will be closed around the Capitol to help with safety and access for pedestrian traffic.
