From a University of Wyoming press release:

Hip-hop artist Hoodie Allen will perform Saturday, April 5, at 9:30 p.m.  in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom.

Tickets cost $15 for students and $25 for the public, and are available at the Wyoming Union information desk or at the door. Tickets also are available at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office and online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.

Allen’s albums and EPs have reached the charts numerous times, including 2012’s “All American,” which debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in the United States and Canada, and also No. 10 overall on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. In February, he released his most recent mix tape, “Crew Cuts,” which was downloaded from his website more than 200,000 times.

UW student Keenan Montgomery will open the concert. Montgomery, who goes by the stage name, “Keenan The First,” grew up in a hip-hop inspired family in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. In 2010, Montgomery enrolled at UW to pursue a degree in English literature, with minors in creative and professional writing.

The theme for Saturday’s concert will be “white out,” and participants are encouraged to wear white to the event.
