From a press release from the Hot Springs Greater Learning Foundation in Thermopolis:
A new organization, The Smoking Waters Art Guild, will meet in conjunction with the Greater Learning Foundation, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 5:30 p.m., at the old Kiddie College building on the corner of 5th and Broadway in downtown Thermopolis. The foundation will hold a short meeting followed by a brainstorming session on the formation of an art guild/organization.
If you have an interest in the arts — as an artist, educator or a supporter of the arts — please plan to attend.
Thanks to Lucy’s Sheep Camp for the use of the building for this meeting.
This is a great opportunity and an important step for our arts community. Come join us and hear some of the plans for the group.
The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
