Wyoming Arts Council

Introducing Community Development & Independent Music Specialist Philip Moline

Philip Moline is the new Community Development and Independent Music Specialist for the Wyoming Arts Council. Given the choice at a young age to take piano lessons or sign up for band, Philip chose both and never looked back. Philip moved to Laramie, WY to pursue a BA in Music at the University of Wyoming, studying saxophone under Dr. Scott Turpen. Philip has competed at national finals of the 2010 Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition, the North American Saxophone Alliance Quartet Competition, performed as a guest soloist with the UW Symphony Orchestra, and as a member of the UW Jazz Ensemble, traveled to New York, NY to perform with the Eric Reed Trio at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola.

Following an interest in arts administration discovered through a college internship, Philip joined the staff of University of Wyoming Cultural Programs and Fine Arts Outreach in 2012. While at UW, Philip gained the unique perspective of working for a presenting organization offering a diverse program of nationally renowned artists in the music, theatre, and dance genres. As a Wyoming native, and a lifelong supporter of the arts, Philip has a passionate interest in supporting the economic and artistic sustainability of the arts in Wyoming.

Philip can be reached at 307-777-7473 or philip.moline@wyo.gov.
