Jeff Lockwood teaches students about sculpture

Here’s one of Jeff Lockwood’s teaching conclusions after he challenged his students to write about the work featured in the UW Sculpture Invitational:

“Provide a challenge, a bit of structure and some open-endedness — and then stand back.”

All of us who have taught writing know this but we forget.

Jeff is a writer and an entomologist at UW.
