What do you get when you cross 10 kids, 20 Greek gods, and a time machine?
You get “The Trouble with Togas”, an original musical theater production, written and directed by Deborah Kassner, performed by the students of Studio 253/Laramie Children’s Musical Theater Workshop, ages 5-14.
“The Trouble with Togas” follows the adventures of a rambunctious group of children who travel back in time to ancient Greece in search of more excitement, fewer chores, and a chance to meet their favorite Greek gods. Featured songs include “Welcome to Greece”, “Be Careful What you Wish For” and “Growing Older on a Boulder”.
The show plays Friday, May 30, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 31, at 4:00 p.m. at the Gryphon Theatre in the Laramie Plains Civic Center. Tickets at the door are $5 for adults and $2 for children. The show runs approximately 90 minutes with a 10-minute intermission.
