Latest big book trend: graphic novelization

Wyomingarts recently was browsing the new books section at Barnes & Noble. He/she/it came across graphic novel versions of Stephen King’s “The Stand.” There were two of these novels on the table, each named for a character in the book. Wyomingarts’ first thought: there are a lot of characters in King’s 1,000 page novel (revised expanded version has 1,200 pages). That’s a lot of books!
