Professional Development Conversation with Wyoming Visual Artists on Resumes, Statements, and Websites

Join the Wyoming Arts Council and the UW Art Museum for a follow up phone call with artist, educator, advocate for artists, and editor Sharon Louden on Monday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Louden currently has a site-specific installation in the lobby of the UW Art Museum, “Windows at the University of Wyoming,” and conducted a statewide professional development session in September for Wyoming visual artists.

Louden is continuing that conversation with Wyoming artists by holding a free follow up teleconference via Zoom. This follow up conversation is open to all artists, not just those who attended her presentation in September. Topics covered at this session will include artist resumes and bios, websites, and artist statements. There will also be time to ask Sharon questions. To join the call, use this link: https://uwyo.zoom.us/j/279882959. Zoom is free to use and should download and open automatically on a tablet or computer.

Louden graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Yale University School of Art. Her work has been exhibited in numerous venues including the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, the Drawing Center, Carnegie Mellon University, Weisman Art Museum, National Gallery of Art, Birmingham Museum of Art, Weatherspoon Art Museum and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Additional information about Louden and her work can be found on her website: https://www.sharonlouden.com/
