“Holocaust Panels/A History” will show Monday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Nov. 15, in Gallery 234, Room 004, in the lower level of the University of Wyoming Union in Laramie.
A reception for the event is 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
Hillel, the world’s largest Jewish campus organization, sponsors the exhibition. The exhibition consists of posters from the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s “Courage to Remember the Holocaust 1935-1944” poster series. Many photographs in the series have never been seen before by the public.
“The ‘Courage to Remember’ is both a tribute and a warning; a tribute to the 6 million Jews and millions of others, including Gypsies, Slavs, political dissenters, homosexuals, and prisoners of war, who were murdered by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945; and a warning that the root causes of the Holocaust persist,” says a description from the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
