Stage III Theatre announces season

Stage III Theatre, 900 N. Center St. in Casper, has announced the line-up for its 2008-2009 season:

September 2008: THE GUYS, a tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives on 9-11.

October 2008: WAR OF THE WORLDS, a special Readers’ Theatre adaptation produced at the Casper Planetarium for the 70th anniversary of the original broadcast. (Because this special show is a joint fund-raiser for Stage III and the Planetarium, it is not included in our season ticket.)

November 2008: MADAM’S BEEN MURDERED, TEA WILL BE LATE, a haunted British mansion house, fortune-hunters, tourists and other delightfully offbeat characters mix it up in a fun-filled farce.

January 2009: MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS — How was the script of “Gone With the Wind” written? Would you believe three men, one typewriter, and countless quantities of peanuts and bananas, all locked in an office for a week? Movie history has never been so funny.

March 2009: LEWIS CARROLL: SIX IMPOSSIBLE THINGS BEFORE BREAKFAST — Revisit the world of Alice in Wonderland in this magical piece that’s delightful for children and fascinating for adults. (This will be our Guest Director show for the season.)

April 2009: FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS — We let our audiences vote for one show in the season, and they picked this edgy contemporary comedy about five bridesmaids.

June 2009: GOODNIGHT DESDEMONA, GOOD MORNING JULIET. See the comic side of two of the Bard’s greatest tragic heroines. Journey with a time-travelling researcher who finds that the real Desdemona was a feisty woman warrior and the real Juliet was not so crazy about her Romeo as you thought.
