From a University of Wyoming press release:

A candlelight performance by the University of Wyoming Collegiate Chorale is Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Matthew’s Cathedral.

Tickets are $10.50 for the public; $7.50 for seniors; and $6.50 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at the UW Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office by calling (307) 766-6666 or going online atwww.uwyo.edu/finearts.

UW Choral Activities Director Nicole Lamartine, accompanied by Lisa Rickard, directs the highly select choir.

“This season brings opportunity for sharing, giving, healing, peace and strengthening community,” Lamartine says about the program.

The program, titled “Sky Full of Stars,” includes a variety of music to highlight these themes. The rousing setting of “Exsultate jubilate” by Ola Gjeilo serves as the connective music, and members of the choir offer their own poetry in between the music.

The graduating seniors from the ensemble are featured on “A Glimpse of Snow and Evergreen” by Vijay Singh and “Grow, Little Tree” by Andrea Ramsey. Rickard offers piano improvisations on well-known carols as well as Coldplay’s “Sky Full of Stars.” As is with tradition, the concert concludes with candlelight illuminating the church and the audience singing “Silent Night” along with the performers.
