Reporter Zach Benoit at the Billings Gazette profiled Devils Tower chainsaw sculptor Roy Pilcher. Pilcher, Wyoming Arts Council roster artist, was in Billings to visit grandchildren and, while there, identified some stumps to carve into eagles, bears and other assorted creatures. Roy told the Gazette: “I learn something every time I carve,” he said. “If I had a real job, I’d have to do this anyway.” Read the entire story in the Casper Star-Tribune here.
