Wyoming Arts Council Grant Review Panels to Meet

The Wyoming Arts Council’s Grants to Organization (GTO) panel will meet in Room 504 at the University of Wyoming Coe Library in Laramie on Thursday and Friday, April 24-25, to evaluate grant applications and make recommendations for funding of FY 2015 grant awards to the WAC Board.

The GTO panel meeting will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and continue until reviews are completed for the day. It resumes at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 25, and will end when all grants are reviewed.

The Wyoming Arts Council’s Arts Education (AE) panel will meet in Casper in Casper College’s New Music Building, Room MU130, on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10, to evaluate grant applications and make recommendations for funding of FY 2015 grant awards to the WAC Board.

The AE panel meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, and continue until reviews are completed for the day. It resumes at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, and will end when all grants are reviewed.

The public is welcome to attend these meetings to observe the panel process, but will not be allowed to take part in the grant discussions. Comments on the process may be given to WAC staff members, who will present them to the WAC Board at its June 5-6 gathering in Saratoga. At that meeting, the board will make final decisions on the FY15 GTO and AE grants as well as determine awards for Operating Support grants.  The WAC Board meeting will also be open to the public.

The mission of the Wyoming Arts Council is to provide leadership and invest resources to sustain, promote and cultivate excellence in the arts.
